I don't like the FoF change (it does 100% to your primary target and 50% as much to all other adds), and Blizzard has flip-flopped on that for a few expansions now. Windwalker: I think it's an upgrade for sure, albeit a small one (WW is pretty fun on live as is). More play needed for me to make a strong judgment on it. It does seem to be a bit slower, but that could just be the lower amount of stats. I played around with a Blade Dance/Demon's Bite style and found it pretty fun. It's interesting to note that Chaos Strike now randomly returns fury as opposed to returning it on crits, so the value of crit for us may drop some. There seems to be 2 distinct talent setups, one focused on a Blade Dance/Demon Blades style of rotation, and one focused on the Demonic/Demon's Bite style we have currently on live with our 4pc. Havoc: It's pretty hard to judge honestly. There's now a Serpent Sting that has your character do this cool little animation with a tiny crossbow, it's very satisfying to play overall and I think most would agree. Mongoose Strike was extremely punishing if you had to deal with mechanics, and Flanking Strike was incredibly frustrating if your pet got stuck and you couldn't cast it. Not sure if they'll be meta but it feels very relieving not having to use them. Both Mongoose Strike and Flanking Strike are no longer required and are both talents on the same row. The explosive trap replacement is much better since it is based on your target. You're able to take both Dire Frenzy and Stomp now, which appears to offer more flexibility. I never felt like the artifact active was too noticeable, so I'm fine with it being gone as well. If you miss Hati there's a talent that will let you have it back. I feel it's much better in BFA.īeast Mastery: It's pretty much the same on live honestly. It feels like their DPS while moving has also improved. Marksmanship: I hate vulnerability as a concept in all cases, so I'm glad MM no longer has to deal with it.

I'll list my likes and dislikes for each class/spec that I play a decent amount on live vs on the alpha. Not saying slowing down isn't happening (the GCD changes are very bad for the feel of the game, as I'm sure most agree), but I don't think it's as massive as it feels when you make a fresh character on alpha.Īlright, onto the show, and of course all of this is subjective. I think that seems to be a notable contributer to the overall 'slowing down' of classes. For example, my hunter on live has 34% haste, and my fresh 110 hunter on alpha has 17% haste.
